During this stay at home order I have had a lot of time to invest in my hobbies. One of those is playing guitar.
I have been practicing quite a bit and my strings started to wear out a bit and they were in need of a change. I figured there are quite a few people during this time that are picking up instruments that have been just sitting around for the first time.
So when it comes to guitar, one of the most important things to help you start off on the right foot is quality strings. Every guitar player needs to know how to change them in order to be successful and cost effective.
I shot all of this in my home with the things I had lying around. I put Ernie Ball Super Slinky strings on my B.C. Rich Avenge with my bare hands and bolt cutters.
I tuned the strings up using a free tuner called Pano Tuner that I downloaded onto my phone. I played my guitar through a small Marshall amp that I have and recorded it by placing my phone in front of it and recording audio.
I used lamps to help with lighting and utilized the sun when I could. I also used my iPhone 11 and a makeshift tripod to record video.
Music used: Silent Partner- Cloud Patterns
This is a video I shot on my iPhone 11 in my backyard. I was able to use a lawn statue for half of my shots, but needed to wait an extra day to get my dad for the rest. He is helping take care of my Grandfather and working from home so his schedule is much tighter than mine.
Fernando Rodney is 17-year MLB reliever who just won his first world series title at the age of 42. During that span, Rodney has played for 11 different teams all across the country.
After spending his first seven years in Detroit, he has not played for a single team for more than two seasons. Today in 2020, Rodney is a free agent and has the luxury of deciding to retire a champion or play until his body gives out. Either way, he will be remembered as a journeyman and a world series victor.

The subject of three of the four of these photos is my mom, Laura Kinney. She, my dad, and myself have all experienced boredom due to the coronavirus outbreak so she decided to get some fresh air and clean up the yard as well.

This is my dad Tom Kinney. Yesterday I took this photo of him for my JRN 340 class. Luckily we got to shoot outside on a cloudy day so the picture came out pretty well.
I made a Marvel movie-based podcast recently with fellow CMU student Katie Hixson. We talked about the first Iron Man movie and interviewed some “Marvel experts” with a wrong answers only segment as well.
Central Michigan University is switching to multi-semester scheduling for the first time. Listen to my report to get more details.
I recently got the chance to interview a fellow student of the Broadcast and Cinematic Arts program at Central Michigan. His name is Rob Kelco and he opens up about his feelings towards CMU.
I got the chance to interview Rob Kelco, a Broadcast and Cinematic Arts major at Central Michigan University. He helped show some light on his experience at CMU.
